Best Morning Habits To Level-Up And Transform Your Life

A solid morning routine is the cornerstone of productivity and consistent improvement. And for good reason. It’s probably one of the most important steps you can take on your leveling-up journey. Starting the morning off right will ensure you get the most out of the rest of the day. So let me share with you some morning habits of successful people, and then you can take what you like and create your own ritual.

#1 – View Sunlight

This tip comes from the neuroscientist Andrew Huberman. He has an excellent podcast called The Huberman Lab where he breaks down the science behind topics like motivation, mental health, weight loss, and good morning habits. He recommends that you view sunlight for 15 minutes as soon as you wake up. This is one of the most efficient ways of regulating your sleep-awake cycle and getting you feeling energetic and fresh in the morning.

#2 – Make Your Bed

You’ve probably heard this advice before… and it’s usually directed at adolescent boys. But it’s just as important, if not more so, for us elegant ladies. Leaving your bed (and your bathroom/dressing room) tidy in the morning does something to your psyche. It creates a sense of order and calm. It’s also much nicer to come home to a clean environment after a long day.

#3 – To Eat Or Not To Eat?

One of the best morning habits for me personally is fasting until noon (except when I’m on vacation). And although intermittent fasting can have many health benefits, it’s not for everybody. You need to listen to your own body. Also, as women, we should adapt how we eat and exercise to our hormonal cycles. If you want to fast, research it properly. If you want to have breakfast, make it a healthy and nutrient-dense one that doesn’t spike your blood sugar and then get you tired after.

It’s the same for exercise. You need to know your body and energy so you can choose whether to exercise in the morning or later in the day.

#4 – Proper Skincare

Since we’re all about beauty and self-care, our morning habits must include good skincare. Obviously, dental hygiene, showering, etc. go without saying. But proper and consistent skincare is an essential component of leveling-up. And, for the morning, sun protection is a must. I have a whole post about creating a good skincare routine.

#5 – Dress Well Every Day (DWED)

This is another important habit for classy ladies that we don’t see in other motivation advice. But for those of us that love elegance and femininity, dressing well every day is not just a confidence booster, it is also a sign of respect for ourselves and others. And it can be a lot of fun as well, especially if you have curated a beautiful capsule wardrobe.
