I took a break from YouTube as I was incredibly busy welcoming my students into my brand new course, The Elegant Stylist TM.
It’s been just amazing to hear so many wonderful comments about the program! (If you missed out on enrolling this time, make sure to put yourself on the waitlist.)
But I’m back on YouTube, and I wanted to share some elegance tips for summer with you! After all…
– do you know the etiquette for when you’re on a yacht?
– do you know what time your beach hat or daytime hat should be stored away?
– do you know what to wear to an outdoor picnic if you’re a lady?
Well, good news ladies, I’ve put together a list of 10 tips that I want you to be mindful of this summer if you want to lead with class and elegance in this YouTube video.
It’s most important to understand why these things are so important for you to always observe, as they may seem sometimes like they are not really important, or that no one will notice. But you know what?
These very things are some of the differences between an average girl who does not know the insider etiquette of polite society, and those that do. They’re those little “tells” that communicate who are more refined and well-mannered versus those that are not. (And it’s not a surprise that people who are well-manned are thought of as a joy to have around, and of course, will get more invitations to social events than those that are not.)
And ladies, we all want to be considered for future invitations and opportunities! There is just no benefit to us if we put ourselves in positions where we are thought of as ill-manned.
Now, for those of you that are usually in the company of very casual friends, it may not feel necessarily intuitive to observe this etiquette must-dos.
In fact, you might even wonder if observing these social niceties will be a little bit “over the top” for your current crowd. Let me assure you, they are not.
Good manners are a form of respect for both others and yourself, hence good manners are appropriate everywhere! This does not mean being cold or stiff or not having fun: exactly the opposite. The origins of etiquette were practical, and in the modern-day, are meant to put others at ease and make any environment that you are in more enjoyable because of your presence. This is something that every woman who wants to be more refined and elegant will value.
This leads me back to my point about well-mannered ladies receiving more invitations, which in turn can lead to better leveling up opportunities.
When we realize that we are self-sabotaging our goals by not being aware of the advantages of classy behavior, it all starts to make a lot more sense.
So let’s get into my video on this very topic!
Happy summer socializing!
